Dear Bushwalkers Since the Department of Sport and Recreation disbanded the 'Walking for Pleasure' program, members of BVBW have been trying to find the best solution to get us all back walking again. To this end many members have done a lot of research, made many phone calls and we’ve had a few meetings. Following our two meetings at Wolumla Hall we’ve become an incorporated body, Bega Valley Bushwalkers Inc., and have elected a committee. The committee has been in regular contact and has now decided to recommend to the group that we: proceed with affiliation with Bushwalking NSW take the Insurance offered through Bushwalking Australia. (This is a tailored package designed for groups like ours. Our options for gaining insurance independently appear limited and more costly) There are 3 components to the insurance offered: Associates, Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurances.
